Crest Analytics (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a cricket scoring, statistics, and broadcast intelligence application. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google Sign-In).
• Match & roster data: Cricket match scorecards, player rosters, and team data you create are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our cloud servers (Google Cloud Firestore).
• Device information: We collect anonymous crash reports and basic analytics (app version, device model, OS version) via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to improve app stability.
• License data: Your license activation status and key hash are stored securely on-device and verified against our server.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app’s core functionality (scoring, statistics, broadcasting).
• To authenticate your account and manage your license.
• To sync your data across devices when you choose to enable cloud sync.
• To diagnose crashes and improve app performance.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your match and roster data is stored primarily on your device. Cloud-synced data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore with Firebase security rules restricting access to authenticated users. Account credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plaintext by the app. License state is stored using encrypted on-device storage (Flutter Secure Storage).

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check)
• Google Sign-In

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Anonymous, aggregated crash and analytics data is processed by Firebase (Google) to help us improve the app.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app (Account tab → Delete Account). This permanently removes your cloud-synced data, account credentials, and local storage. Alternatively, you can email us at the address below to request manual deletion; we will process such requests within 30 days.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on this page with an updated effective date.
